Mary Ellen AndersonMary Ellen Andersen joined the Victory staff in September 2012. Mary Ellen grew up in Dalton, Georgia and attended the University of Georgia; her degree is in Art Therapy. Mary Ellen is recognized for her ability to simultaneously teach academic topics and encourage problem-solving. Mary Ellen continues to donate her time and talent to Victory; she paints a portrait of every student, creating a collage that is showcased at the new Victory Campus.

Mary Ellen (currently a full-time teaching assistant in the Juniper Classroom) will begin a dual role for the 2016-2017 school year. Mary Ellen has accepted a part-time position as Victory’s first designated Art Specialist. On her non-art days, Mary Ellen will remain in the classroom, continuing her work as a teaching assistant.

Mary Ellen enjoys painting, reading, listening to music, and eating at new restaurants. She loves building relationships with the kids at Victory, and one day, hopes to work with both children and adults in the field of Art Therapy.
