Damian Melnicove

Damian MelnicoveDamian Melnicove joined the Victory Team in the fall of 2014. Damian grew up in Maine, but found himself as a college student in Portland, studying psychology and neuroscience at Lewis & Clark College. During his senior year, Damian began working with individuals with Autism at Specialty Athletic Training, a program that brings health and fitness to youth and adults affected by Autism. Damian graduated in May 2014.

Damian will leave his position as support teacher in the Cypress Classroom and become Victory’s first Adapted PE teacher. Damian will work closely with Carrie Thomas, Occupational Therapist, and the classroom teams to design and implement innovative and “just right” PE classes for Victory’s students.

He says that finding a way to engage a student’s strengths and differences brings him great joy during his daily work at Victory. During his free time, Damian's interests include hiking, music, photography, and reading.
