Donna grew up in sunny California. She and her husband, Kevin, met in high school and married two short years after graduating. Before starting a family she worked as a Registered Dental Assistant. Since then, Donna has spent time raising three children and the family has lived in California, Arizona and Colorado. When their youngest child, Austin, was diagnosed with VCFS it became their final catalyst for moving to Oregon in 2004. Upon settling in Oregon and navigating the school system with a special needs child, Donna discovered her passion for providing children access and opportunities to succeed no matter their abilities.
Over the years, Donna has devoted her time to volunteering and working in her children’s classrooms and leading school wide initiatives. She has worked with mainstream students as well as and students with a variety of learning differences. Before joining Victory Academy, Donna worked as an instructional aide at a local elementary school in Tigard.
In her free time, Donna loves to garden, explore new food finds, hike and camp with her family, and enjoy a good book.
For the 2016-2017 school year, Donna will be a Teaching Assistant in the Juniper classroom.
