Jordan started as a substitute teacher in February 2016 and became a full-time Teaching Assistant in the Cedar Classroom in June 2016.
Jordan is a recent transplant, having moved to Oregon in December 2015. She was born and raised in Tallahassee, FL and received a B.A. in Environmental Science Policy at the University of Florida in Gainesville (Go Gators!). She is happy to discuss the beauty of Florida's prairies, swamps, and springs (a.k.a. the REAL Florida) with anyone who will listen. After graduating college, Jordan fulfilled her long-held dream of becoming a Peace Corps volunteer. She served in Senegal, West Africa for three years, from 2012-2015.
Jordan has varied experience caring for children, from babysitting to teaching at a residential college preparatory program in Senegal. While she is somewhat new to the world of Autism education, Jordan has enjoyed learning on her feet in the nurturing environment at Victory. Jordan is eager to deepen her knowledge and skills as time goes on.
In her free time, Jordan enjoys yoga, cycling, rock climbing, and learning French.
