Speech Language Pathologist
Kegan was born and raised in Sherwood, Oregon. She received her Master’s of Science from the Communication Disorders and Sciences program at the University of Oregon. Kegan holds a certificate of clinical competence (CCC) from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) as well as a professional license in Oregon.
Following Graduate school, Kegan traveled Europe before she accepted an SLP position in the Vancouver Public Schools. She served as Vancouver’s SLP for elementary students and the special education preschool. This job led her to private practice, where she worked as an SLP and Intake Coordinator for Parkwood Clinic for three years.
Working primarily with 3-5 year old children with multiple disabilities, including developmental delays, Autism, Down Syndrome, articulation/phonological disorders, and language disorders, Kegan loves collaborating with classroom teachers and specalists in order to promote and facilitate a language rich environment for every student.
Kegan is passionate about supporting children and families through early intervention services and community outreach. Thus far, her career has also brought her to Africa and Nicaragua as a volunteer SLP with Operation Smile (working with children who have cleft palette and lip).
When she is not at work, you can likely find Kegan in her garden, at the beach, or with her family in Portland.
For the 2016-2017 school year, Kegan will work with children enrolled in Victory Prep and Victory Academy’s elementary classrooms.
