Miranda was born and raised in Nampa, Idaho, and has worked with learners with various diagnoses, though primarily with Autism, since 2006. In 2011, Miranda graduated with her BA from The College of Idaho where she double majored in theater and psychology. After graduation, Miranda moved to Portland where she worked as an ABA Therapist for various clients in the metropolitan area. In 2012, she moved to Sydney, Australia where she worked as a Senior ABA Therapist before progressing into the roll of Program Supervisor. As a Program Supervisor, she completed assessments, designed and implemented skill acquisition and behavioral intervention plans, trained parents and staff and generally had a blast working with kids in home and school settings learn new things. Miranda loves discovering each of her learners as the wonderful, curious, talented individuals they are and using their strengths to draw out new skills. In May of 2016, she became a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst.
Miranda keeps busy by putting the theater half of her degree to use as an actor and performer; she also pursues her passions of reading, taking walks in pretty places (not as strenuous as actual hiking), and eating all the Mexican food she can find.
