Molly Smith

Transition Specialist and Classroom Teacher

Molly SmithMolly Smith came to Victory in September 2011 after completing her Master of Education, Special Education from the University of Georgia. While at University, Molly participated in the Collaborative Adolescent Autism Teacher Training Project (CAATT) Fellowship, and as a result, specializes in innovative teaching strategies for adolescents affected by Autism.

Molly grew up in Dalton, Georgia and moved to Portland in the Summer of 2011. In her free time, Molly identifies herself as a “foodie” and enjoys live music, hiking, gardening, and thinking about creative ways to teach and learn.

 Molly has proven herself to be a master teacher and specialist; she is the innovator behind the Victory Academy Transition Program. Molly says she teaches because "It's a privilege to be part of helping these children become more independent and self-determined people...I love building relationships with these incredible kids and watching them grow."

For the 2014-2015 school year, Molly is Victory's Transition Specialist and Classroom Teacher in Sellwood.
