Katie Staton

Co-Lead Teacher

Katie StatonKatie Staton joined Victory in July 2021 as a lead teacher. Katie moved to Oregon in 2017 with her husband and two children. She received a BS degree in Forestry from Michigan State University in 2000 and completed her teaching certification at Eastern Michigan University with a Master’s in Autism Spectrum Disorders in 2014. She has supported students with Autism in various settings, including resource rooms and both center-based and self-contained classrooms. Katie is passionate about motivating students to learn through their interests. She enjoys supporting students and families in finding meaningful ways to be successful across school, community, and career environments.

When not teaching, Katie seeks adventures by skydiving, whitewater rafting, flying gliders, crayfish hunting, and hiking with her kids. She enjoys teaching adaptive swimming lessons for individuals with special needs and cuddling with her two cats. Katie likes to expose her teenagers to classic movies like Blues Brothers, Caddyshack, The Jerk, and See No Evil, Hear No Evil.
